Welcome to Class 3!
In Class 3 we are doing the topics 'Grow a Forest' and 'Bring Back the Bees' this summer term. We will be learning lots about plants and how they grow, along with exploring local wildlife and conservation. We will also be researching forests and habitats around the world and discussing the different ways we can look after the wildlife that lives on our planet.
PE is on a Wednesday morning so please ensure the children have their full kit in school, including tracksuit bottoms as most sessions will be outside.
Children get one piece of maths or literacy homework to complete each week along with their spellings and times tables to practise. Homework books will be given to the children on a Friday and will be due in on the following Thursday. Spelling books and reading records can be taken home each evening and must be in school every day. We also do a project Topic homework once a term. Remember that your child will be entered into the Reading Raffle on a Friday afternoon if they have read three times at home in that week. Please sign their reading records.
Children need a water bottle in school every day, filled with fresh water and because the school field can get muddy, they will need a pair of wellies at school if they want to play on the grass.
There is an information board outside the classroom that has a timetable and information about what Class 3 are getting up to in school. If you have any questions or suggestions we would love to hear from you.
