Admissions

We welcome children from 3 to 11 at Kirkby Thore Primary School. If your child is 3 and you would like them to attend our Nursery, then please see the information below. If you would like your child to start in Reception, or any other year group, then please click on this link for further information. If you have any questions, or would like to have a look around our school, then please contact the school office on 017683 61497 or you can email admin@kirkbythore.cumbria.sch.uk. I look forward to hearing from you.

NURSERY

Our Nursery Children join our Reception and Year 1 children in our Starlings class.

We are now offering Nursery spaces starting in September, January and April for 3 year olds. Your child can join our Starlings class the term after they turn 3 years old. If you would like to reserve a place, please contact the school office. admin@kirkbythore.cumbria.sch.uk

We are very flexible regarding Nursery days, and we are happy for your child to do as much or little as you feel works for them. A morning session runs from 8.45 – 11.45. An afternoon session starts at 12.30. Depending on your circumstances, you will either be eligible for 15 hours or 30 hours of government funded hours.  If you would like your child to do more than that, then we charge £4.00 an hour.  Please note you can use government funded hours for clubs.

We understand that starting Nursery, especially in a school setting can be daunting, therefore, if you would like to take advantage of some of our free transition sessions before your child starts, then please let us know.

STAY AND PLAY

Join us on a Monday afternoon for our play group. Mums, dads, grandparents, babies and toddlers are all welcome. For more information, please contact the school office.
