A great field trip to Haweswater for Kingfishers and Eagles. Sketching maps, a lovely walk in the sunshine followed by a picnic and a spot of dam building. Then to Haweswater hotel to meet an expert from United Utilities who told us all about the dam, the pipe under the lake and Mardale village. To finish our day we had chocolate and marshmallows in the beautiful gardens behind the hotel.
